Crazy Maxine: Parental Advisory Should Accompany Every Trump Speech
Since every other Democrat with any kind of name recognition has delivered a response to President Trump’s State of the Union address, this silliness just wouldn’t be complete without a rebuttal from California’s favorite lunatic daughter: Rep. Maxine Waters. She appeared on BET the day after Trump’s wildly successful speech to recite another litany of absurd complaints that included her opinion that every one of the president’s speeches should be preceded by a parental warning.
“Whenever he appears on TV there should be a disclaimer that says, ‘This may or may not be acceptable for children,’” she said.
Sure, as long as every one of Maxine’s television appearances include the disclaimer: “Do not take a sip of your drink during this segment, because you may wind up spitting it all over the television.”
Normally we would assume that a politician who makes such a ridiculous comment is engaging in some form of humor, but you never can tell when it comes to Crazy Maxine. The line between humor and serious discourse, truth and fiction, reality and fantasy…they are blurred when she gets in front of a microphone. Such was the case Wednesday as she continued her long-lasting assault on the rightfully-elected president.
“One speech cannot and does not make Donald Trump presidential,” she said. “He’s not presidential and he never will be presidential. He claims that he’s bringing people together but make no mistake, he is a dangerous, unprincipled, divisive, and shameful racist.”
Trump is the divisive one, yet Maxine is the one who loudly drew attention to herself by refusing to attend the State of the Union speech. Trump is the unprincipled one, but she’s the one that seems to have put her legislative responsibilities on hold for a year so she can become a TV star famous for making unhinged remarks about this White House. Trump is the racist one, but she is the one who can’t speak for five minutes on any topic without bringing up the subject of race.
We know it’s a futile effort to hold Democrats accountable for their hypocrisy…but it’s still a fun way to pass the time.
