Kamala Harris Goes Full Communism With Ridiculous Video About “Equality”
Drawing criticism and mockery even from liberals who wish that this nonsense was not a part of the Democratic Party’s agenda, vice presidential nominee Kamala Harris released a silly video this weekend explaining the difference between “equality” and “equity.” Coming off as if it had been scripted by the wokest professors at UCLA Berkeley (which it probably was), the video essentially endorsed the idea of bringing a rather red shade of communism to the United States.
“Equality suggests, ‘Oh, everyone should get the same amount.’ The problem with that, not everybody’s starting out from the same place,” said Harris in the video. “So if we’re all getting the same amount, but you started out back there, and I started out over here, we could get the same amount, but you’re still going to be that far back behind me.”
She continued: “It’s about giving people the resources and the support they need so that everyone can be on equal footing, and then compete on equal footing. Equitable treatment means we all end up at the same place.”
Uh-huh. Well, Kamala, that has nothing to do with competition. That is the antithesis of competition. It is the opposite of freedom and opportunity. This is a T-ball game where you don’t bother keeping score and everyone goes out for pizza afterwards. That may be fine for preschoolers, but when you try it on a mass scale, you get Cuba. You get the Soviet Union. You get Mao’s China. And in case you haven’t looked lately, none of those places offer a particularly appealing picture of “equity.”
“I try not to tweet on weekends but when the potential VP gets on here to announce she’s a Woke Marxist, I gotta say something,” tweeted Dave Rubin.
“So she’s openly making the argument that inequality of outcome is in and of itself inequity,” noted Ben Shapiro. “Which is called communism.”
“Sounds just like Karl Marx,” tweeted Rep. Liz Cheney (R-WY). “A century of history has shown where that path leads. We all embrace equal opportunity, but government-enforced equality of outcomes is Marxism.”
Anyone care to recall Harris’s CBS interview from a couple of weeks back when she laughed out loud at the idea that she was going to push Biden towards radical “socialist” policies?
We fail to see what’s so funny.
