Leftists and the Media Are Trying to Rig the Manafort Trial Outcome
For no good reason whatsoever, the following news outlets have petitioned the court to release the names of the jurors serving on the Paul Manafort trial: The Washington Post, The New York Times, Buzzfeed, CNN, NBC, the Associated Press, and Politico.
Why is it that these outlets need to know exactly who serves on this jury and where they live? Is there some overarching journalistic need for this information? Of course not. If these jurors want to talk to the media, they’ll have no trouble getting the attention of a journalist. If they don’t, they have the right to be left alone.
There is only one reason why these left-wing publications and networks want these names and addresses: To wage a harassment campaign against any juror who isn’t ready to fall in line and vote the way the RESISTANCE deems necessary. Never mind the fact that your average Trump hater couldn’t tell you three relevant facts about the Manafort trial. Never mind that even prosecutors admit that this trial has little or nothing to do with the 2016 election. And never mind that there are serious reasons to believe that Robert Mueller and his cronies failed to meet their burden of proof. None of that matters to the left; they want to see Manafort go down. They don’t want to confront the possibility – the STRONG possibility – that this really was just a witch hunt all along.
“I had no idea this case would incite this emotion,” said Judge T.S. Ellis on Friday, denying the request. He said that jurors were “afraid” and had already been threatened. In fact, Ellis said, he himself had been the subject of violent threats from leftists who don’t like reports that he has been tough on Mueller’s prosecutors.
“I can tell you there have been [threats]. … I don’t feel right if I release their names,” he said.
As for threats against him, the judge noted: “The Marshals go where I go.”
It’s very interesting that these news outlets would only now request this information. It just so happens that jury deliberations are taking much longer than the pundits expected; the questions they are sending to Judge Ellis have some observers predicting that they will either return with a verdict of Not Guilty or will ultimately be unable to reach a verdict at all. This would be a crushing blow to Mueller’s momentum and would, perception-wise, cast an enormous shadow of doubt on the entire spectrum of the Special Counsel’s activities.
The Resistance can’t allow that. They are going to push, intimidate, harass, and dox these jurors if they don’t return the “right” verdict. This is how desperate the left has become and how willing they are to go outside the boundaries of justice to get what they want. It’s disgusting, it’s dangerous, and it needs to end.
