For nearly the entire duration of his presidency, Donald Trump has been accused of being a lying liar who lies all the time. And one of his biggest lies was to claim publicly that the Obama administration had sent spies into his campaign. Now, never mind that this has been publicly proven for months. As long as we can use words like “informant” and “FISA warrant” and “surveillance,” then we don’t have to admit that he was telling the truth. Oh, we didn’t spy on Carter Page, we surveilled him. Oh, we didn’t have a spy talk to George Papadopoulos, that was just an informant. Trump is making claims without evidence again, the lying liar!
You would have to have a metal object embedded in the soft tissue of your brain to buy any of this rhetorical gamesmanship, but we suppose there are plenty of liberals with that kind of mental impairment. Because it is only now that The New York Times has admitted that, yes, the FBI sent an actual undercover agent to that infamous pub meeting with Papadopoulos that there is no further dispute: Obama’s FBI spied on members of the Trump campaign.
Oh, except they STILL won’t admit it!
“The American government’s affiliation with the woman, who said her name was Azra Turk, is one previously unreported detail of an operation that has become a political flash point in the face of accusations by President Trump and his allies that American law enforcement and intelligence officials spied on his campaign to undermine his electoral chances. Last year, he called it Spygate,” reports the Times.
“The decision to use Ms. Turk in the operation aimed at a presidential campaign official shows the level of alarm inside the F.B.I. during a frantic period when the bureau was trying to determine the scope of Russia’s attempts to disrupt the 2016 election, but could also give ammunition to Mr. Trump and his allies for their spying claims,” they continue.
This report “could give ammunition to Mr. Trump and his allies for their spying claims?” Are you actually serious right now? Yes, we do believe that this report, which says flat-out that the FBI spied on Trump’s campaign, could possibly mean that the FBI spied on Trump’s campaign. Call us crazy.
The DOJ’s Office of the Inspector General is preparing to finally release his report on the shenanigans surrounding the origins of the Trump/Russia investigation, and we predict it is going to be a watershed event when it comes to exposing the wrongdoing of the previous administration. We’ve already learned that the entire Russian conspiracy theory was based on absolutely nothing of substance. We’ve already learned that there was never a shred of truth to it. Now we will begin learning exactly why and how the greatest witch hunt in Washington’s history was concocted…and who, exactly, was responsible for it.
