Nurse Fired After Chilling, Racist Social Media Tirade
Taiyesha Baker, a nurse at Riley’s Children’s Health in Indiana, was fired this week after embarking on a chilling rant against white people on Twitter. Baker, who goes by the moniker “Night Nurse” on the social media site, drew a horrified reaction from the public – and, eventually, her employers – when she posted the following comments:
“Every white woman raises a detriment to society when they raise a son,” Baker wrote. “Someone with the HIGHEST propensity to be a terrorist, rapist, racist, killer, and domestic violence all star. Historically every son you had should be sacrificed to the wolves Bitch.”
After writing that horrid post – a clear indication of brimming hate if not serious mental illness – users decided to go for a stroll through her Twitter account to see if this was the first time she had written something unhinged and racist. Surprise, surprise: It was not.
“Currently listening to a yt nurse talk about the need of guns and how this could have been stopped with more guns,” she wrote in early October, presumably regarding the Las Vegas massacre. “YT PPL are so delusional.”
(“YT” stands for “white” in some racist online communities).
“Yt women steal more than anyone,” she wrote last month. “They used to f*ck Nordstrom up. Only blacks got followed by Lost Prevention tho.”
“So yes white people, it is your job to end racism,” she said (ironically) last November. “Because you all are the racist ones. Hello.”
In August, she tweeted this choice selection from her disease-ridden brain: “White people the worst thing created. The stats don’t lie.”
She did not provide the stats.
With the reams of racist trash in her post history, it’s a wonder she wasn’t fired months ago. And from the attitude she concocted upon seeing her latest post go viral, she appears to be just fine with the fate of her employment.
“Fame comes at a price,” she said. “Soon everyone will know my name.”
“Who needs a job anyway when you can have worldwide hatred?” she asked.
Well, we wish Ms. Baker well on her quest to get famous and rich through making obscenely racist remarks on Twitter. We’ll simply say that smarter people have tried and failed, but hey, the world’s getting kookier by the day, so anything’s possible. As long as she’s no longer looking over the health of sick children at the hospital, we’re good.
