Meet the Gay Tech Millionaire Who’s On a Crusade to “Punish” Christians
Tim Gill made himself hundreds of millions of dollars in Silicon Valley through his software innovations, but now he’s turning his attention to what he essentially characterizes as a war of retribution against Christians who oppose gay marriage. In an interview with Rolling Stone, the LGBT activist said he’s interested in using his millions to pressure anyone who doesn’t go along with the gay marriage trend in America.
From Rolling Stone:
The election of Donald Trump, who claims to support gay rights but stocked his administration with anti-LGBTQ extremists, has only emboldened those looking to erase the gains of the past decade. Gill refuses to go on the defense. “We’re going into the hardest states in the country,” he says. “We’re going to punish the wicked.”
Gill is angered by states that have passed laws – in the wake of the Supreme Court’s ruling on gay marriage – that aim to protect clergy, workers, and business owners from being forced to participate in same-sex wedding ceremonies. These laws aren’t being passed in a void; already, we’ve seen dozens of cases of bakers, florists, T-shirt makers, and even ranchers who have been penalized – substantially – by the courts for refusing to cater to the gay agenda. In the process, the thin line between discriminating against an individual – clearly unacceptable under federal law – and discriminating against an EVENT has been blurred to the point of uselessness. As a result, Christians are being punished for merely staying true to their beliefs.
And that, according to Gill (and Rolling Stone), is just the way it should be.
“Under the guise of right-to-worship protections, these bills offer legal cover for individuals and businesses to deny service or otherwise discriminate against LGBTQ people,” says Rolling Stone author Andy Kroll.
“These problems never go away,” Gill said of the fight for gay equality. “You have to educate every single generation about this and make sure it doesn’t creep back into our society. There’s no sense in which the job is ever done.”
That could, of course, be a mantra for the entire “progressive” movement. And in fact, it’s right there in the name. Progress. Endless, reckless progress, which has no regard for outcome other than to tear down every traditional belief and institution. And this is done through merciless activism that dupes otherwise-rational Americans into believing that they can’t trust their own gut instincts, much less what might have been taught to them in some musty old religious book.
The sad truth is that discrimination is discrimination, regardless of who the target might happen to be. Christians deserve protection from gay millionaires who have quietly co-opted international businesses like Coca-Cola to wage a war on democracy itself. This, of course, is what we’ve seen in Indiana, Texas, North Carolina, and Georgia, where corporate interests have won out over the will of the voters. The First Amendment is being eroded under the guise of “LGBT rights” and you can bet that this movement will rear its ugly head in a million other ways before the left is done remaking America in its image.
