(RestoreAmericanGlory.com) – Republican presidential primary candidate Vivek Ramaswamy tweeted on Thursday that LinkedIn had locked his account after he posted a video in which he talked about his “fact-based views” on climate policy and President Biden’s relationship with China. He claimed that this was an example of Big Tech’s election interference beginning.
As he pointed out in the video, he specifically flagged it for violating the platform’s policies on “‘misinformation, hate speech, and violence.'” He proceeded to claim that he was not surprised by this.
A spokesman for LinkedIn verified that Ramaswamy’s account had been “restricted” but denied that this move had been intentional. Instead, he claimed that the restriction was an error and that the account was up again.
Conservatives have long claimed that big tech social media companies have tried to interfere with elections by censoring specific content.
Ramaswamy, in a video, outlined what the three strikes he had received from LinkedIn were for. These strikes were the reason his account was suspended. The strikes included criticisms about the Chinese Communist Party controlling Biden and weaponizing the “woke pandemic,” criticisms about “climate religion” and the “ESG movement,” and claiming that the “climate agenda is a lie; fossil fuels are a requirement for human prosperity.”
Ramaswamy further claimed that he believed his profile would be restored, but he warned that other Americans might face similar censorship. He added that big tech companies were performing this “back door” censorship for the government, which the government cannot perform on its own because of the Constitution.
