Analyst Jobless After Saying She Would “Stab” People Who Say “All Lives Matter”
Claira Janover, a public business service analyst who worked for the UK-based accounting firm Deloitte, is screaming persecution after being fired for making violent threats on her TikTok account.
Janover, who is a Harvard graduate, filmed a video last week in which she expressed her annoyance with people who respond to “black lives matter” with the ubiquitous “all lives matter” phrase. While she would have probably been okay with her employers had she left the matter at reasonable disagreement, she took things much further when she threatened to reign violence down on anyone who used the inclusive form of the phrase.
The new Ivy League grad said in the viral video that she was sick of people with “the nerve – the sheer entitled audacity to say ‘All Lives Matter.’”
“Imma stab you,” she warned. “Imma stab you, and while you’re struggling and bleeding out, Imma show you my paper cut and say, ‘My cut matters, too.’”
Janover’s employer took a dim view of their analyst threatening to stab anyone who isn’t on board with her specific brand of political activism, and they sent her packing. You know, the way literally any other employer concerned about the mental health of their workforce would do.
But of course, Janover is now presenting herself as a victim.
“Standing up for Black Lives Matter put me in a place online to be seen by millions of people,” Janover said through tears in a new video. “The job that I’d worked really hard to get and meant a lot to me has called me and fired me because of everything.”
Missing the point, Janover invited her viewers to look at Deloitte’s website, accusing them of firing her “even though they claim to stand against systematic bias, racism and unequal treatment.”
Then, not satisfied with simply whining about the unfairness of it all, she blamed supporters of the president for somehow making her unemployed.
“Trump supporters took my job away from me,” she whined. “I have gotten death threats, rape threats, violent threats. It was OK, but now my future’s entirely compromised because Trump supporters have decided to come for my life.
“I’m too strong for you. I’m too strong for any of you ‘All Lives Matter,’ racist Trump supporters,” she continued. “It sucks. But it doesn’t suck as much as systemic racism. And I’m not going to stop using my platform to advocate for it. I’m sorry, Deloitte, that you can’t see that. That you were cowardice enough to fight somebody who’s going to make an indelible change in the world and is going to have an impact.”
Cool. Good luck with that, Claira. We’re sure your platform of stabbing people who disagree with you is going to turn out A-OK in the long run.
