April Ryan Smears Woman Who Exposed Baltimore’s Garbage Problem

Baltimore County official Kimberly Klacik is running for the late Elijah Cummings’ congressional seat, and that doesn’t sit well with Cummings’ media defenders like reporter April Ryan. See, Klacik went on Fox News earlier this year to point out the pileup of garbage and vermin running amok in West Baltimore. Her testimony as to the state of her hometown went viral, attracting attention from none other than President Trump himself, who famously advised Cummings to spend less time worrying about illegal immigrants and more time worrying about the rat-infested mess back home. For some reason, Klacik is to be demonized for drawing attention to a very real problem.

“I am throwing my hat in the race for the 7th Congressional District,” Klacik said this week. “I’ve seen firsthand what a lot of people are going through. Our violent crime is up 52% in Baltimore County and it’s rising in Baltimore City, too. I don’t think it’s a coincidence. Talking to residents about rats and infrastructure and vacant homes, there’s so much that can be done.”

So here’s a woman who, unlike Cummings, actually wants to go to Washington so she can represent the problems and realities facing the people in her district. She isn’t going there to “be famous” or start some kind of phony witch hunt against the president or save the world through an idiotic climate change scheme. No, she actually wants to get some stuff done. It’s no wonder she’s reviled by Democrats in the media.

“This is the woman who created all the controversy that made @realDonaldTrump go after @RepCummings and Baltimore. Cummings never got over the attack on him and the city. It is all because of her,” whine April Ryan on Twitter.

It’s “all because of her”? What, exactly, is all because of Kimberly Klacik? That West Baltimore’s problems got some important national attention? Did Klacik put all of the garbage and rats into the streets? Wait, is Ryan actually insinuating that Klacik and her “created controversy” had something to do with Cummings’ death? She can’t actually be that ridiculous, can she?

Wait, don’t answer that.

It’s pretty funny when you think about it. To the media, the Ukraine whistleblower, the Anonymous author of “A Warning,” and all these other sources leaking to the press every time Donald Trump sneezes are American heroes deserving our applause and our protection. But the minute someone “blows the whistle” on the negligence of the Democrats, they’re terrible people who cause cancer.
