Bad Optics: Obama, Biden Trying to Hide Shrinking Support
Obama is becoming so irrelevant that many liberals don’t show up at his rallies anymore, and the media has to hide it by applying angled shots of the event – just like what happened in Philadelphia on Saturday.
Obama and Biden both spoke at the rally to draw support for Pennsylvania Democrat John Fetterman, who is running for Senate against Republican Dr. Mehmet Oz. Despite the event being in the dominantly blue Philadelphia, and at the height of midterm fever, a significant part of the arena was empty.
Obama, who if often advertised as the main attraction for a Democrat audience, failed to draw enough people to fill the place. To conceal the embarrassment from the camera’s eye, however, the liberals used a large curtain and some American flags.
A cell phone video tweeted by a man who attended the rally showed what the mainstream media doesn’t when reporting on Biden’s rallies. In the video, the camera pans horizontally, left to right, to show the arena’s audience and reveals what the leftist media routinely hides – large sections of the hall all with empty chairs.

To hide these empty sections from the viewers, the liberals put up a large curtain in front of the empty sections to one side of the hall and lowered three American flags, one of them a large square one, to hide the empty sections on the other side. To someone on the ground taking a picture of either side, the empty seats wouldn’t be readily visible.
However, the panning camera video taken from an upper section showed the large empty sections of the hall indicative of a general lack of enthusiasm among liberals to see either Obama or Biden.
Noticing the video, The Gateway Pundit opined that the arena of the Obama-Biden rally seemed less than half full. Breitbart also noticed the video and published a post about the low audience while pointing to the strategy of keeping the audience waiting for Obama’s speech.
The crowd was confused when Obama was the last to speak, forcing everyone to wait through Shapiro and Fetterman’s speeches.
Conservatives on Twitter took a dig at the low attendance at the Obama-Biden rally for Fetterman and other Democrats from Pennsylvania. One Twitter user named Tim posted an image of Florida Governor Ron DeSantis’s rally for New York gubernatorial candidate Lee Zeldin to taunt liberals with the comparatively big crowd seen at the event.
