Biden Blocked From Seeing Real U.S. Border
According to reports, President Biden’s visit to the border did not provide him with the true picture of what is going on at the border, instead, he got a watered-down version of the border crisis in El Paso, Texas. Since December the number of illegal immigrants who have entered the country has slowly been declining.
As a result the Central Processing Center, which had previously been overwhelmed by the number of immigrants entering the country, is no longer working at its full capacity of about 1,000 migrants. The camps of migrants that had been set up to help shelter all the immigrants being processed were also removed prior to Biden’s visit according to U.S. Customs and Border Protection sources.
Prior to Biden’s visit to the border, the Border Patrol union had blasted the President over the reports that state and local officials had been working to clear out the migrant encampments before Biden reached the border.
The National Border Patrol Council tweeted on Friday that “El Paso is being cleared up as if nothing unusual ever happened there.” They also noted how this was happening just in time for Biden’s border visit.
The tweet was posted after El Paso Matters posted a report that there had been “large crowds” of migrants who had been detained in El Paso on Wednesday by Border Patrol. A later report also suggested that both Border Patrol and local officers had increased their levels of patrols and detentions in order to clean up the city before the President’s visit.
