CNN’s Jim Acosta Once Again Makes Press Conference All About Him
Instead of using his time on CNN Tuesday to inform viewers about the important takeaways from President Trump’s joint press conference with Brazilian President Jair Bolsonaro, chief White House correspondent Jim Acosta once again turned his stand-up spot into an opportunity to rail against the president for saying “fake news” and ignoring his own biased questions.
Acosta was irritated that a reporter from The Daily Caller got a few questions while his frantic hand-waving went completely ignored. He said that Trump picked the conservative outlet because he was assured some easy questions.
“The question was asked in a way that really teed it up like a game of tee-ball here in the Rose Garden,” Acosta whined. “The president was just sort of served up a softball there when he was asked whether or not the Democrats are advancing a lot of socialist ideas.”
Gee, anyone want to go back and time and count the number of softball questions Jim Acosta and his fellow sycophants at CNN asked of President Obama? It is only in the age of Trump that the liberal media thinks their job is suddenly to be the president’s worst enemies at every press conference.
“There was a lot of that going on during this news conference, but I think the thing that has to be noted, and we’d be remiss if we didn’t note it, is that when the President of Brazil mentioned the term ‘fake news,’ he got sort of a smile and a nod from President Trump,” Acosta said, landing on his favorite subject. “And, you know, this is something that we’ve seen since President Trump came into office, called this network fake news, his referring to the press as the enemy of the people and so on is that this is a virus that is spreading around the world.”
Yes, we have seen that throughout Trump’s presidency. We’ve seen it in direct proportion to the amount of fake news spewed out by CNN and others. Does Trump exaggerate his case to make a point? Maybe sometimes. But it is only through that exaggeration that he’s gotten people to wipe the film from their eyes and actually look at the biased, reckless coverage that the media is perpetrating on the public.
Not that it’s caused the media to so any self-reflection. After all, CNN still employs the likes of Jim Acosta.
