Democrats ANGRY – Republican Governor Signs New Bill!

(RestoreAmericanGlory.com) – On Wednesday, Republican Idaho Gov. Brad Little signed a new bill into law that would make it a crime for an adult to help a minor either get an abortion or access to an abortion pill from out-of-state without parental permission.

Idaho House Bill 242, a new law that criminalizes “abortion trafficking,” that is, adults who help a pregnant minor get either an abortion or abortion pills by helping them across state lines, Those charged under this new law could face up to five years in prison if found guilty.

On Twitter, Planned Parenthood Alliance Advocates claimed that the Idaho governor has once again dismissed the constituents’ wishes by signing this bill into law and “creating the nation’s first crime of so-called “abortion trafficking.” They added that they were going to be doing everything that they could in order to stop this law.

On the day that the law was signed, both the American Civil Liberties Union and Planned Parenthood independently announced that they would be filing lawsuits against the state’s attorney general over their interpretation of the state law to include a prohibition against medical providers giving patients information about out-of-state abortions.

Idaho is a state that borders many states where abortion remains legal, including Washington, Oregon, Montana, and California.

Washington Gov. Jay Inslee (D) wrote in a statement that one of the possible harmful impacts of this legislation could be the “exodus” of healthcare professionals from the state and an increase in the “mortality rate of Idahoan women and girls.”
