Democrats Get the “Wrong” Answer in Twitter Poll About Supreme Court
The Democratic Senatorial Campaign Committee wanted to get their social media followers pumped up, so they threw them a nice, soft, gimme right in the strike zone. On Twitter, they took a poll asking users a simple question: Would you like more Supreme Court Justices like Brett Kavanaugh (Boo!) or more like the awesome Notorious RBG herself, Ruth Bader Ginsburg?
But as so often happens in the wild world of the internet, things quickly went awry. Instead of playing the game correctly and knocking this particular softball into the upper deck, users voted their conscience. That, or they trolled the hell out of the DSCC. Either way, by the end of the day, 71% of respondents picked Brett and only 29% picked Ginsburg.
Ouch. Don’t they even know he’s a rapist, unfit to be around small children, much less our nation’s highest court? Did they even watch the estimable, unimpeachable DOCTOR Christine Blasey Ford testify in front of the world? It’s just…shocking. Disturbing.
And so embarrassing that the DSCC deleted the tweet and sent the results down the memory hole. Heh.
Perhaps feeling as if their followers did not quite understand the importance of getting more judges like the great, wonderful Ginsburg, they tweeted: “@realDonaldTrump and the Republican-led Senate have aggressively pushed to reshape the judiciary with conservatives. Decades of hard-fought progress could be erased. We must take back the Senate.”
Get it, guys? Get it! Answer our poll in the way we demand!
The debacle caught the attention of President Trump’s son, Don Jr., who tweeted: “Something tells me that this probably wasn’t the result Democrats were hoping for when they decided to do this poll.”
Apparently the Democrat fundraisers didn’t quite get the message, though. They were back at the polling game on Monday, asking users if “Robert Mueller should testify before Congress.”
As of press time, “No” is winning with 51% of the vote.
Better luck next time, guys.
