Democrats Play Chicken with DACA Deal as Shutdown Looms

White House press secretary Sarah Sanders accused the Democrats Tuesday of punishing the American people with threats of a government shutdown, telling reporters that the party was unwilling to make the kinds of compromises necessary to get a budget bill on the president’s desk. In an interview with Fox News, Sanders said that President Trump was still hopeful that lawmakers would send him a clean budget bill and expressed the White House view that the budget legislation and the controversial DACA deal should be kept separate.
“We need to keep those two things separate,” Sanders said. “We’re still hopeful that we could get a budget deal done–a clean budget–by the end of this week, and certainly hope we can make a deal on DACA and on border security and our immigration system. This is something that needs to be done. Hopefully Democrats come to the table and really be serious about making a deal on both of these things that we want to get done.”
Fox and Friends co-host Ainsley Earhardt asked Sanders what issue was keeping Democrats from signing onto the bill.
“Sadly, I think it’s really simple,” Sanders said. “I think Democrats don’t want to see this president be successful. I think he’s had a huge year in 2017; one of the best first years of any president that we’ve seen. You have win after win after win with this president, and I don’t think they want to hand him another one.
“The problem is,” she continued, “what they’re doing is they’re penalizing the country, and that’s a really really sad thing. And hopefully Democrats will stop doing that and start putting their country before their party, and really focus on things they were elected to come here and do.”
Even at this late date, the Democrat leadership seems to be laboring under the belief that there is political hay to be gained by shutting down the government on behalf of illegal immigrants. Where they got that idea is beyond us, but you can bet that last week’s “shithole” controversy was all part of their master PR plan. They want to convince America that Trump is a racist and then use that argument to help them win the battle for Dreamer legislation. All we can say is, good luck. If the Democrats actually come out on top with this strategy, then we dramatically overestimated the median intelligence of our fellow Americans.

I have neighbors who have NOT found a job for over 1 yr and yet I see illegals working all the time……granted, they can afford to take a lower salary because they (the illegals) are living in one room , all 10 of them….they don’t have mortgage to pay, or children to support cause all their kids are still in Mexico waiting for that money to be sent back. It use to be that most of the people that I would talk to about illegals (this was about 8 or 10 yrs ago) would tell me that I should be more compassionate for illegals—-I’m a Mexican and my parents came from Mexico, so I know all about being poor and compassion. But I also know that the Mexicans would not step aside for me just so that I could have a job —they are also looking out for themselves. I was born here in America and I believe that OUR citizens must come first… My parents were grateful for living in America, and never bashed this country and never made “demands”…..they worked for everything they had. WE ARE FIGHTING FOR OUR SECURITY AND OUR LIVES….even though I am retired, I still want our jobs to go to “our” citizens first–America First!

If you believe the crap she puts out, I feel sorry for you, Trump is the one that will shut the government down, he said he would approve DACA if his multi billion dollar wall is approved,all through the campaign he said Mexico would pay for the wall, I don’t want my tax money going for the wall, if the deal is not met, he and he only will shut down the government.
A “Government Shutdown” only means that non-essential government employees get a paid vacation, BUT, it could provide a good list of non-essential government employees.
This would make a good start on finding out who is actually doing something in our Federal Government.

I’m still awake dealing with the Flu at 2am. I start checking my e-mail and find a letter from one of my Senators that is explaining why he and the Democrats are going to continue to holding the American people hostage, even at the cost of a full government shut down. He explained there is no wiggle room in their decision until President Trump is totally compliant with DACA. This idiot thinks we, as concerned Americans are so uninformed as not to know that the Democrats only objective is to maintain and/or increase their voting base. The Democrats depend on this voting base because it is one that cannot be polled which leaves opposing parties at a disadvantage when determining campaign strategies. I just heard a new report of the statistics regarding the true impact from DACA which is now estimated as bringing 7 to 8 hundred thousand people out of the shadows. The actual number included in DACA is the 3.6 million, most brought in before the age of 18y/o. This means the total number they want to be given full citizenship, benefits, education and our jobs is closer to 4.4 million. Can America sustain the overnight addition of that many people without a complete collapse? I am not confident they can and not to sound selfish, but what happens to us, actual American citizens in the meantime? Its not like we already have the most efficiently run government available to our everyday needs. It should not require a leave of absence from work, rental of Camper and weeks worth of groceries and supplies when going to the DMV to get a license renewal.
I replied to my Senator and let him know that I will not accept what they are attempting to do, which is in direct defiance of what we’ve already expressed by electing Donald J. Trump as President. I told him I would make sure that every person I can contact learns of his letter in which he is stating that he and the Democrats are willing to “shutdown our government” until they get DACA. All the Democrats and a few stupid Republican traitors (Graham, McCain, Flake) are willing to turn their backs on our military and elderly, the most vulnerable of all, just to bring in illegals, give them legal status, allowing them to take our children’s future for their own. They have crossed the line of being worthy to serve in our government. They arrogantly admit to using our Military and Senior citizens as bargaining chips and expect us to accept it. DACA=Dumb Assed Democrat Asses.
LOL they certainly were very critical of GOP when they threatened a shutdown so what makes them so wonderful when they threaten, especially over an illegal presidential action as well. Obama was the evil fool who violated his office and they are trying to protect that oaf again!

Term Limits with Zero retirement and loss of other perk’s are the answer!!! 2 two year terms for the House and 1 Six year term for the Senate with a 10 year wait before they can be elected or appointed to ANY federal government position. That said, ALL Illegals who want to become US Citizens must go thru the same hoops as the immigrants did back in the early 1900’s without exception!!! Any VISA holdovers must be deported and will have to reapply for reentry after a 5 year period. ENOUGH IS ENOUGH!!!!
If president Trump does get rid of DACA and DAPA he is letting all of us down. I do not want to see any illegals in our country. No special deals. We need to protect our country from socialism.
