DeSantis CRUSHED – Trump Shows Him No Mercy!

(RestoreAmericanGlory.com) – Former President Donald Trump has slammed Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis over the recent six-week abortion ban that was passed in Florida. On Monday, Trump argued that this ban was “too harsh.”

In an interview with The Messenger, Trump did not elaborate on what his stance on abortion is; however, he did state that from what he has heard from pro-life voters, many believe that DeSantis’ bill is too harsh. Trump did not provide any clarification on who these pro-life voters and supporters who oppose DeSantis’ bill are.

Trump was then asked whether or not he would support a ban after six weeks of pregnancy, to which he replied that he was considering all options. He proceeded to reiterate that he supported exceptions in cases of rape, incest, and the life of the mother being in danger. He added that this was something he had in common with Ronald Reagan, as they both believed in exceptions.

The new abortion bill in Florida was signed in mid-April, and it does include exceptions for rape and incest. According to the state’s legislation, an exception for cases where the life of the mother is in danger also exists.

While Trump did not go into much detail about what his stance on abortion was, he did tout his efforts in nominating the justices that helped make the overturning of Roe v. Wade a reality. He further added that he was the only president who could have done this and that for close to five decades people had been trying to get rid of Roe v. Wade without having any success.
