DOJ Goes MIA over Left’s ‘Insurrection’ at Arizona Capitol
On Friday, June 24, a large mob of left-wing pro-abortion activists attacked the Arizona State Capitol in the evening after the Supreme Court struck down Roe v. Wade earlier that day. But in dark contrast to the January 6 protest at the U.S. Capitol in DC, the Department of Justice (DOJ) has been silent on the incident.
The DOJ has been aggressively going after the protesters of January 6 who either entered the federal capitol, even without breaking anything or attacking anyone, because the capitol police allowed them in, or those who stood outside and verbally protested. The January 6 protest has been labeled “insurrection” by establishment media and the left.
Taking these criteria to define “insurrection,” the pro-abortion mob of protesters raiding the Arizona Capitol in Phoenix and breaching security was an insurrection meant to intimidate Arizona senators who were inside, voting on bills in their yearly session. Here’s how the scene looked at the Arizona Capitol on Friday night.
Eventually the police had to fire tear gas at the “protesters” to deter them from continuing their attack on the capitol. As reported on Fox, Senate President Karen Fann called it “a thwarted insurrection.” Senator Kelly Townsend tweeted that evening, as this attempted assault on the senate was underway, that they were held hostage inside while the angry abortion activists surrounded the building and tried to break in. She added:
I expect a J24 committee to be created immediately.
The senate had to be evacuated per this emergency caused by the abortion activists and if not for the police, God knows how many would have ended up physically assaulted by the rabid mob. So where is the DOJ on all this violence? So far, it’s MIA – Missing in Action – and in fact missing in condemnation too. The local police arrested four people on Saturday but they were quickly released because “a judge found no probable cause to press charges” as reported in azcentral.com.
If January 6 was insurrection, June 24 was insurrection plus. Yet, because it was the insurrection of the left on a Republican capitol in a red state, it won’t be treated as anything else than a protest for the so-called “reproductive health” in establishment media as well as the leftist DC establishment, including the politically weaponized DOJ and the FBI. No surprises here for conservatives and no expectations of punishment for the violence and damage done by the left.
