Eric Trump SLAMS Indictment – Calls Legal System a “Mockery”
(RestoreAmericanGlory.com) – Eric Trump commented on Saturday on the Manhattan grand jury’s unprecedented indictment of his father, former President Trump, claiming that the decision to indict makes “a mockery” of the legal system.
During an interview on “Fox & Friends Weekend,” Eric Trump said that his family had been the center of attacks from the first moment, and the Manhattan district attorney’s office had made targeting former President Trump their “priority” for the last six years. He added that in all of the documents that they reviewed, they had found no evidence of wrongdoing.
In the interview, Trump continued by stating that the public’s “support is unbelievable,” predominantly because people are aware that “we’ve literally become a banana republic.” The term Banana Republic is considered to be a term used to disclose that the country is ripe with corruption and that democracy has been limited because of the country’s authoritarian rule. He proceeded by saying that they had “made a mockery of our legal system in this country.”
Following the former President’s indictment on Thursday, both his family and many of his allies within the Republican Party have rushed to his defense while also blasting Manhattan District Attorney Alvin Bragg. Many of them have called the probe politically motivated and have pointed out that it has not yet been disclosed what exactly the charges against Donald Trump are. The probe related to a $130,000 payment made by Michael Cohen, Trump’s former attorney, on his behalf to adult film star Stormy Daniels in exchange for her silence ahead of the 2016 presidential election.
