GOP Doubles Down On Biden Scandal
(RestoreAmericanGlory.com) – Incoming House Intelligence Chairman Mike Turner (R-Ohio) is asking for a damage assessment to be conducted regarding any possible fallout stemming from the classified documents that were recently discovered in one of President Biden’s former offices.
The documents date back to the Obama-Biden administration and were found by Biden’s personal lawyers when they were clearing out his office. According to the report, there were around 10 documents found in the Penn Biden Center for Diplomacy and Global Engagement in Washington in November. Those documents had accidentally been packed with a number of personal documents, including documents that related to Biden’s son’s funeral.
The discovery of these documents has also led to many drawing comparisons between this case and the case of the documents recovered during the FBI raid from former President Trump’s Mar-a-Lago property. However, these two cases are completely different since in Mar-a-Lago hundreds of documents were discovered, and Trump had not notified the National Archives of the existence of these documents in the way that Biden’s team had.
Immediately after locating the files, Biden’s team informed the National Archives, who picked the documents up the following day. Since then, the documents have moved to the Department of Justice where they will be reviewed.
However, many Republicans are calling for further assessments regarding the potential dangers of the classified documents having possibly been mishandled.
Turner pointed out that President Biden may have also violated a number of laws, including the Espionage Act and Presidential Records Act, because of these documents being mishandled.
