Ilhan Omar Calls for “Dismantling” the Entire U.S. Economic and Political System
At an event in Minnesota to address what she sees as “racism in policing” in the aftermath of the George Floyd killing, Rep. Ilhan Omar (D-MN) said this week that it would not be sufficient to merely reform the bad parts of the U.S. economic and political system. In violation of her oath of office, Omar said that nothing short of total revolution would accomplish the goals sought by the far left.
In introducing the event on Twitter, Omar said, “The murder of George Floyd reawakened calls to address racism in policing and reform our criminal justice system. I’m live with leaders of the Minnesota People of Color and Indigenous Caucus to discuss our work to make systemic changes on Facebook now.”
During the event itself, Omar made it clear that her goals are as anti-American and dangerous as her critics have long suspected.
“As long as our economy and political systems prioritize profit without considering who is profiting, who is being shut out, we will perpetuate this inequality,” Omar said. “We cannot stop at criminal justice system. We must begin the work of dismantling the whole system of oppression wherever we find it.”
Omar went on to say that she supports the Minneapolis City Council, which voted last month to get rid of the city’s police department.
“You can’t really reform a department that is rotten to the root,” Omar said. “What you can do is rebuild. And so this is our opportunity, you know, as a city to come together, have the conversation of what public safety looks like, who enforces the most dangerous crimes that take place in our community.”
In response to the clip about dismantling the system, Rep. Marsha Blackburn (R-TN) said Omar should step down.
“Ilhan Omar took an oath to defend and protect the Constitution, not shred it,” Blackburn said. “Omar and her Marxist comrades are a threat to our Democracy. Omar should resign.”
But it appears that Omar is a little too busy fleecing her campaign donors to worry about such banal requirements as upholding the Constitution. The New York Post reported this week that Omar has funneled a whopping $878,000 to her husband’s consulting firm since 2018.
You’d think that with a financial scam that sweet, she’d prefer to keep a low profile. But then, we’re sure that when and if Omar finds herself in cuffs, she’ll be quick to scream “political persecution” and get at least some percentage of leftist morons to believe her.
