Jailed Celebrity Announces 2024 Campaign!

(RestoreAmericanGlory.com) – “Tiger King” star Joe Exotic who rose to fame following the Netflix docu-series announced from a federal prison in Atlanta that he was planning on running for the White House in 2024 as a Libertarian.

Joseph Maldonado, as is his real name, announced his campaign on Twitter on March 10 and launched a campaign website to accompany his bid. Maldonado is currently serving a 21-year prison sentence after being convicted in 2019 on multiple charges including hiring hitmen to murder Carole Baskin, a wildlife activist. He has also been convicted of killing tigers and trading them across the state.

Currently, there is no rule in place that would stop someone convicted of a crime from running for the White House. The Constitution’s only three qualifications for a candidate to be eligible to run for the White House, including being at least 35 years old, having lived in the country for at least 14 years, and being a natural-born citizen.

Maldonado had also run for governor of Oklahoma in 2018 as a Libertarian but had not managed to succeed in the party’s primary. In a recent interview with Fox News on Sunday, Maldonado claimed that there were reforms needed in America’s political and judicial systems. He added that it is time for someone to arise and “start asking some real questions” on behalf of those who work hard in the country in order “to pay the bills for these politicians to just keep paying this money away.”
