“Let Them Die”: Professor In Hot Water After Anti-White, Racist Tweets
A Connecticut “race and racism” professor is facing disciplinary action after a series of Facebook posts that revealed his utterly disgraceful, racist, and even genocidal views on white people and conservatives. Professor Johnny Eric Williams of Trinity College was officially and publicly censured after he responded to the shooting at a congressional baseball game last week with some of the most vile messages you can imagine.
“I’m fed the fu*k up with self identified ‘whites’ daily violence directed at immigrants, Muslim, and sexually and racially oppressed people,” Professor Williams wrote. “The time is now to confront these inhuman a**holes and end this now.”
In another message, he said, “It is past time for the racially oppressed to do what people who believe themselves to be ‘white’ will not do – put an end to the vectors of their destructive mythology of whiteness and their white supremacy system.”
He ended that message with a hashtag “#LetThenFu**ingDie” and a link to a reprehensible, racist essay on the website Medium.
That essay, written anonymously, expounded on the meaning of the hashtag.
“Saving the life of those that would kill you is the opposite of virtuous,” the Medium writer opined. “Let. Them. Fu**ing. Die. And smile a bit when you do. For you have done the universe a great service.”
In a statement, Trinity College President Joanne Berger-Sweeney said the professor’s comments were unacceptable, as was the essay to which he linked.
“I told Professor Williams that in my opinion his use of the hashtag was reprehensible and, at the very least, in poor judgment,” she said. “No matter its intent, it goes against our fundamental values as an institution, and I believe its effect is to close minds rather than open them.
“The Medium piece went on to explore broader issues concerning race and the relationship between ‘victims of bigotry’ and ‘bigots,’” Berger-Sweeney continued. “The piece culminated with a call to show indifference to the lives of bigots. That call was reprehensible, and any such suggestion is abhorrent and wholly contrary to Trinity’s values.”
In comments to the Hartford Courant, Professor Williams insisted that the posts were not meant to be shared with the public and that conservative outlets had twisted his words. Apparently, he meant “let them f**cking die” in a more colloquial sense of the phrase…?
As outrageous as Williams’ views are (to say nothing of the anonymous essayist), we’re pleased as punch whenever one of these idiots accidentally gets fired up and lets their mask of civility slip away, even if it’s only for a moment. Whether Williams is fired or not hardly matters. His truth has been exposed, and that’s enough. The majority of Americans – left, right, black, white – will never agree with this kind of sick sentiment. And the more the race baiters and the hard leftists show the world who they really are, the more your average American voter will realize they want nothing to do with the party that plays to this crowd.
