Liberal Tears Fall as Trump Calls Dangerous Illegals “Animals”

President Trump caused many a liberal to go crying to their blogs and newspapers on Wednesday when he lashed out at the state of illegal immigration during a White House meeting. Cameras were rolling as the president grew frustrated during a roundtable discussion about California’s “sanctuary state” laws, which have prevented ICE from arresting and deporting dangerous illegal immigrants. Trump said that, even beyond California, he was constrained by “the dumbest laws on immigration in the world.” But what really upset the left was when he used frank language to talk about some of the least desirable people in the country.

“We have people coming into the country, or trying to come in — we’re stopping a lot of them,” Trump said. “You wouldn’t believe how bad these people are. These aren’t people, these are animals, and we’re taking them out of the country at a level and at a rate that’s never happened before.”

Liberals are apparently going to turn this into Shithole-Gate, Part II. California Governor Jerry Brown was one of the first to comment, slamming the administration for flaunting the law (even as they enforce it?).

“Trump is lying on immigration, lying about crime and lying about the laws of California,” Brown said. “Flying in a dozen Republican politicians to flatter him and praise his reckless policies changes nothing. We, the citizens of the fifth-largest economy in the world, are not impressed.”

Brown’s lieutenant governor, Gavin Newsom, said on Twitter: “Today the President of the United States referred to immigrants as ‘animals.’ Intentionally dehumanizing an entire group of people is something that slave owners and Nazis did. It’s the kind of hateful rhetoric that leads to hate crimes and genocides.”

That’s what they call “overselling the product.”

Neither Newsom nor Brown nor any other bleeding-heart commentator bothered to actually watch the entire broadcast, or they would have known that Trump was clearly referring to only a small portion of illegal immigrants – the MS-13 gang and other dangerous criminals. Trump made the offending comment immediately after Freson County Sheriff Margaret Mims expressed her irritation that California’s sanctuary laws prevented her from reporting illegal immigrant gang members to ICE unless certain criteria were met.

Every time Trump uses language that a “normal” president wouldn’t use, the left thinks they’ve got him. So they pile on the hyperbole until even Americans who tend to cringe at the stuff Trump says are just like, “Well, what else WOULD you call Haiti? What else WOULD you call illegal immigrants who rape, steal, and murder?”

A term like “animals” may not fly in genteel San Francisco Democrat circles, but it will do just fine in the heartland. Trump’s base isn’t going anywhere, and neither are the Independents who have had it with the left’s obsession with identity politics and political correctness.

But by all means, you guys keep defending MS-13, Islamic terrorists, and other dregs of society. See how that works out for you.
