Majority of Voters: Enough With the Protesting
According to a new Fox News poll of registered voters, most say they are ready for the protests directed at Donald Trump to come to an end. 53% of voters said “it’s time to move on” when asked about the protesters. 44%, however, would say, “Don’t give up the fight.”
The questionnaire asked voters, “What message would you like to send to people who are protesting President Trump and his policies?”
From Fox News:
Not surprisingly, these results are highly partisan. Fully 81 percent of Democrats want the protesters to keep fighting, while even more Republicans (87 percent) say it’s time to move on.

Overall, about one in seven voters (14 percent) say they’ve taken part in a protest or demonstration since the election.
More voters have taken action in other ways. One in three has contacted a public official (33 percent) and about one in five has contributed money to a political cause or candidate (22 percent) since the election.
The most interesting part of this is that only one in seven voters have actually participated in these protests. This is what consumes the mainstream media’s attention? 14% of the registered electorate? And if we assume that the protests themselves are larger than that, it just means there are tons of non-voters in the mix. Should we even take those people seriously? How can you justify hitting the streets with a sign when you couldn’t even be bothered to make a choice? You’re protesting a decision you freely allowed others to make for you!
But that’s ignoring the fact that most of these protesters, whether they voted or not, are being recruited by liberal organizations, and, of course, publicized by same. These protests are all – to one degree or another – being staged with funding from the Democratic Party and its ancillaries. And then broadcast to the world by the biggest Democratic Party ancillary of them all.
It’s easy to take potshots at Marco Rubio for not showing up to one of these lunatic town hall events, but why should he? He knows the truth about them. These aren’t “concerned constituents.” These are a combination of fearful locals who have been brainwashed by the media, paid plants, and organized liberal activists. And maybe a few people who just want to get on TV or “be a part of something.”
Donald Trump already showed Republicans how to stop letting the media dictate the narrative. They should start paying attention.
