Maria Bartiromo on Twitter: I’m Outta Here – Join Me on Parler
This week, Fox Business News host Maria Bartiromo became the latest conservative to find herself censored by leftist social media. After Twitter flagged several of her posts over the past week, attaching warning labels to them because they didn’t conform to the Biden Blowout narrative that Silicon Valley Democrats are trying to get across, Bartiromo said Thursday that she was packing her stuff and leaving for saner grounds.
“This is the same group who abused power in 2016. I will be leaving soon and going to Parler,” Bartiromo wrote. “Please open an account on @parler right away.”
Parler, for the uninitiated, is an alternative social media site founded to give free speech enthusiasts a place they can congregate without being under the watchful, condemning eye of Twitter and Facebook. While the site does not claim any particular ideology, the userbase is (perhaps inevitably) right-leaning…simply because left-wingers have successfully driven so many conservatives out of their little safe spaces.
Bartiromo made the decision to leave Twitter after a week in which she was repeatedly warned for making posts that were supposedly “misleading about an election or other civic processes.” Those tweets included one in which she shared a Federalist article titled: “Yes, Democrats Are Trying To Steal The Election in Michigan, Wisconsin, And Pennsylvania.”
Twitter also flagged a tweet from her on Wednesday, in which she wrote: “4am dump/Wisconsin 65,000 votes 100% for Biden 4am dump/Michigan 138,499 votes 100% 4Biden. AZ poll workers forcing voters to use sharpies thereby invalidated ballots. Trump leading in GA, NC, PA, WI, MI & they stop counting before the vote fairy visits overnight…”
Apparently you’re not allowed to share your legitimate concerns about the way this played out in several swing states without drawing the ire of our Big Tech masters. Wonder how many tweets they would have censored if the late-counted votes had swung the election away from Biden and towards Trump instead of the other way around. Zero? That’s our guess, anyway.
Bartiromo wasn’t the only conservative to hit their limit with the usual social media suspects this week. On Monday, radio host Mark Levin told listeners that he will no longer be looking at Facebook.
“I’ve had it with Facebook,” Levin said. “They can do what they want. We will continue to simultaneously post so it’ll be in all three places, but I won’t be looking at Facebook anymore. If you want to make comments, you should go to Parler, or you should go to Twitter. I’m not going to spend too much time on this, but I want to strongly encourage you to leave Facebook. If you want to interact with us, no longer will we be interacting on Facebook. We’ll be there. But my kids are right, they’re a dinosaur. A dinosaur run by leftists and enough is enough.”
