MSNBC Contributor: Trump Supporters “Really Suck as Human Beings”

One might have hoped, in the wake of getting what they wanted out of the 2020 election (by hook or by crook), the left would chill out a little on their hatred of President Trump and his supporters. It’s over, you got your guy into the White House, why can’t you back off? Well, the reason is obvious: They’ve become so twisted and deranged by this man over the last five years that they literally would not know what to do with themselves if they had to actually talk about something else. Make no mistake: We’ll be hearing them whine about Trump for the rest of our lives.

They’re getting increasingly nasty about it, too. Take MSNBC’s Donny Deutsch, who said this week that he’s convinced that most of Trump’s supporters “really suck as human beings.” Why? Because we’re a little bit skeptical of the top-down coronavirus restrictions that are killing the economy, crushing small businesses, and putting people out of work. Because we actually believe in a little thing called “freedom” – a concept that has largely fallen by the wayside this year as Democrat leaders take advantage of their newfound emergency powers.

But no, to the left (which, by the way, espouses the belief that a woman can become a man and vice versa), calls us “science-deniers” and worse – people who should be corralled and reeducated for the good of the country.

Deutsch was tee’d up by host Nicolle Wallace who set the tone with a clip of Joe Biden giving empathetic speeches in the wake of national tragedies.

“Donny, it’s almost eerie to hear someone talk like that. We are so starved of this sort of language of grief and loss,” Wallace said.

“One of the traits of a leader is three things — it’s honesty, it’s empathy and it’s having a vision,” Deutsch said, pulling this trifecta out of his butt. “It’s an honesty to confront a problem and say we have a problem and say here’s the loss and here’s the problem. The empathy is the most important part, and ‘I understand and I can feel it. I feel you.’ And you feel that from him.

“Here’s the problem,” he continued. “In one of your earlier segments, there was a — you were showing a crowd at a Trump rally or an anti-corona rally, and somebody held up a sign that said ‘99 percent survival rate is not an emergency,’ which — that’s the mindset of somebody, if you were in a movie theater with 100 people and one person was going to die, the other 99 shouldn’t care — shouldn’t huddle around. And that’s the problem in this country, is that we have a part of this country called ‘the ungreatest generation’ that is a ‘me’ culture, and ‘If it doesn’t affect me, I don’t give a damn.’ I mean, that sign says it all.”

Huh. Kinda like how liberals like Deutsch and Wallace don’t give a damn how economic lockdowns affect small business owners and workers for whom it will take years to dig their way out of this hole?

“Joe Biden is doing everything right,” Deutsch concluded. “And when you see that sign, and when you see — maybe there’s a chunk of us that really suck as human beings. Maybe that’s a reality.”

Oh, we’re pretty sure you guys don’t want to start a thing where we make broad generalizations about millions of people based on a single protest sign. We’re pretty sure you guys will regret opening that particular can of worms.
