New Study: America Has WAY More Illegal Aliens Than We Thought
For a long time, the standard line is that there are approximately 11 million illegal immigrants living in the United States. This is the figure, largely propagated by Pew Research, that you hear from politicians, the media, proponents of immigration, opponents of immigration, and everyone else. It’s been static for the better part of a decade, despite the fact that we’ve been through multiple border surges and immigration crises in the meantime.
We first began to suspect something was amiss with that number when President Trump announced that there would be a question regarding citizenship status on the next U.S. Census. The backlash was ferocious. There were a few stated reasons for the opposition. Democrats and immigration activists warned that by including that question, the Census would be inaccurate because people would be afraid to answer the survey. They also said that by quantifying the Census in this way, districts with large immigrant populations would lose political representation and federal financial distribution. But these two stated reasons were so bizarre and weak, we had a feeling there was something else behind the fear.
That feeling was confirmed when we read this new study from Yale and MIT researchers. According to the survey, the U.S. may be harboring anywhere from 16 to 29 million illegal aliens, and the likeliest figure is somewhere around the 22.1 million mark. That would mean that the official stats on illegal immigrants in this country – the ones we use to debate and create our policies and laws – are WAY underestimated. Indeed, if the research is correct, we may be undershooting the estimate by half, if not more.
And now you see why liberals are so desperate to prevent us from getting an accurate Census count of illegals in this country. They know that if voters wake up to the real truth about this population, the wave of populism that elected Donald Trump will look like a blip in the pond compared to what’s coming.
“The results of our analysis are clear: The number of undocumented immigrants in the United States is estimated to be substantially larger than has been appreciated at least in widely accepted previous estimates,” the researchers concluded.
Don’t expect to see this study reported anywhere other than the conservative media. The Democrat-controlled mainstream press is dedicated to making people forget that illegal immigration is even a crime, much less one that has run this far out of control.
