Poll: Only 12% of Americans Think We Have No Problem at the Border

In their rebuttal speech for the moronic leftists on Tuesday night, Chuck Schumer and Nancy Pelosi tried every way they could think of to make it seem like the crisis at the border is a product of President Trump’s imagination and the fever dreams of the racists over at Fox News. Nothing more than that. Oh yeah sure, we believe in “border security,” our fellow Americans, but all this other stuff is just silly. Come back to reality, where the real problem is climate change! We don’t need a wall, we need a Green New Deal, ladies and gentlemen.

Americans do not agree.

According to a new poll conducted by Morning Consult and Politico, 42% of registered voters think we are experiencing a “crisis” when it comes to illegal immigration. Another 37% aren’t willing to go that far but they are forced to acknowledge we have a real “problem” at the border. Only 12% of registered voters think everything at the border is hunky-dory, which is the approximate message that the Democrats are trying to sell. Now tell us again how the American people do not want an “immoral wall,” Nancy.

Whether you call it a crisis, an emergency, or a problem, it doesn’t change the fact that we need a solution. And the solution cannot be, as the Democrats would have it, simply to throw open the border and let tens of thousands of migrants to come in here every month. That is patently unsustainable, dangerous to both our laws and our economy, and will set us up for a culture shift that could – with absolutely no exaggeration whatsoever – kill the spirit of the United States of America within a generation, if not sooner. One hard look at Western Europe is enough to see the truth of that statement.

From a purely logical standpoint, where we give the Democrats the respect of assuming they actually believe what they say they believe, there is no good reason to oppose the funding of the wall. The wall would quickly bring to an end the detention camps at the border that the Democrats cry about so very often. The wall would prevent little children from dying after making that perilous journey, which is something we should all care about. The wall would open the doors for a compromise on the Dreamers, which is something the Democrats supposedly want to find.

But because they fear being seen by their base as “caving” to Trump, they won’t budge. They do not care about the crisis at the border, they do not care about dying children, and they do not care about the Dreamers. To them, this is ALL political.

Well, the politics of the shutdown may be getting ready to turn, big time, on the Democratic Party.
