Poll Reveals DIVIDED Opinion on Charges Against Trump!
(RestoreAmericanGlory.com) – A new ABC News/Ipsos poll published on Sunday shows that half of the respondents believed that the charges brought against former President Trump were serious. The poll was looking into people’s perceptions following Trump’s indictment in a New York City case relating to the alleged hush money payment made on his behalf by his former attorney to adult film star Stormy Daniels in exchange for her silence.
Of the respondents, 50 percent called the charges against Trump serious, while 35 percent claimed that they were not serious at all.
Currently, the indictment is sealed, which means that the exact charges being brought forth by Manhattan District Attorney Alvin Bragg (D) in relation to the $130,000 payment to Stormy Daniels before the 2016 presidential election by Trump’s former fixer and attorney have not yet been disclosed. Daniels has alleged that the payment was in exchange for her silence regarding her affair with Trump years prior; however, Trump has repeatedly denied the affair.
On Saturday, the Associated Press claimed that Trump would be facing at least one felony charge in this case. According to the poll, 45 percent of respondents believe that Trump needs to be charged with a crime in this case, while 32 percent have claimed that no charges should be brought forth against him. Twenty-three percent did not have an opinion on whether or not charges needed to be filed.
Of those respondents, around 47 percent claimed that the charges were politically motivated, while 32 percent claimed they were not.
