Red State Unveils NEW MONUMENT – The Media Is Going Nuts!

(RestoreAmericanGlory.com) – Arkansas Gov. Sarah Huckabee Sanders (R) has signed a law that would open the road for a “monument to the unborn” to be built on the state capitol’s grounds.

On Friday, the new law was announced by her office. According to the law, it would seek to erect a monument to commemorate “lives lost from 1973 to 2022 due to the decisions of the United States Supreme Court.” It would also become a reminder of the need to continuously protect life regardless of “how young or old, or how helpless and vulnerable that person may be.”

Arkansas Senate Bill 207 opposes the U.S. Supreme Court’s 1973 decision in Roe v. Wade, which was integral to the establishment of abortion rights, as well as the decision in the 1992 case Planned Parenthood v. Casey.

The law is also set up in a way that a fund can be created and used for the erection of the monument and its maintenance. With this monument all the unborn children that had been aborted during the period of Roe v. Wade. The Arkansas secretary of state would also need to “permit and arrange placement” of the memorial according to the bill which was passed through both the House and Senate majority.

Still, there were two Republicans who opposed the bill. Republican Rep. Steve Unger said that  “Public memorials to our nation’s wars where we face an external threat are right and proper,” he added that  there was no reason for a memorial for “an ongoing culture war where we seem to be shooting at each other is not.”
