Ron DeSantis Is Quietly Taking Trump’s Biggest Allies!
(RestoreAmericanGlory.com) – The 2024 GOP primary has been widely dominated by two players: former President Donald Trump and Florida Governor Ron DeSantis. While Trump announced his 2024 presidential run in November 2022, DeSantis has not yet announced his intentions for 2024, but his moves could prove to be a nuisance for Trump.
In the past few months, Trump has managed to stay ahead in the polls and has even received some important endorsements. However, at the same time, DeSantis is also gathering allies.
The pro-DeSantis super political action committee (PAC) Never Back Down recently brought on board Bill Stern as a senior advisor. Stern had previously worked as Trump’s 2020 South Carolina state finance chair. In a press release on Thursday, Stern wrote that there is a growing movement of people who want to see DeSantis in the White House. He added that these are people who are sick of seeing the Republican Party lose the election and that “these men and women stood up for their children’s education, their businesses, and their freedoms when the government and powerful corporations tried to silence them.”
Stern finally added that if the GOP wanted to have a chance of winning in 2024, they needed to have DeSantis running for office. The press release was also shared by Erin Perrine, who also joined DeSantis’ super PAC. Perrine had worked as Trump’s 2020 press communications director. Matt Wolking, Trump’s former deputy director of communications, has also joined DeSantis’ team.
Trump has also managed to take some of DeSantis’ allies, most recently Rep. Byron Donalds, R-Fla., who gave him his endorsement despite being an ally of DeSantis.
