Sarah Sanders: Democrats “Don’t Even Like America”
In an interview with Fox News Channel’s Sean Hannity on Monday, former White House Press Secretary Sarah Sanders said that she didn’t understand why most of the 2020 Democrats were running for office, considering their obvious antipathy for the United States and everything that made it the country it is today. Still feisty as ever after her yearlong stint as President Trump’s chief warrior against the mainstream news cabal, Sanders said she was dismayed by the caliber of contender the Democratic Party had put up in their nominations process.
“If you listen to what they’re saying,” she said, “everything they have to say is so negative. And you saw the exact opposite of that from the president tonight.”
Sanders said Americans should pay close attention to that difference.
“I hope that people will continue to look at that contrast and see that you have somebody who loves this country loves all of the citizens of this country versus the Democrats who have nothing to do but take the president and try to tear him down,” she said.
Sanders was also critical of House Democrats, who have made it clear that their first (only?) priority upon returning to Capitol Hill will be to formalize the impeachment investigation into President Trump.
“They just this week, they finally come back to work and the only thing that they can do is try to figure out how to impeach the president,” Sanders said. “They are terrified of his success because they know that the more he continues to do well and win the harder it is for Democrats to get elected. And that is their singular focus. It has nothing to do with helping America. It has nothing to do with helping people across this country.
“I’m pretty sure they don’t even like America,” she concluded. “Honestly Sean, I’m not even sure why any of these candidates are running. They seem to all have such a dislike for this country, dislike for American citizens.”
Oh, well, they like some American citizens. The ones who depend on the federal government for a hand-out, for instance. They love those people. The ones who barely have time for a cup of coffee in between prison sentences, they’re all about those citizens. Let’s see…hmm, the ones who donate to their campaigns, they like them. Erm…yeah, that might be about it. The rest of their attention seems to be focused mostly on helping non-citizens, which is one of the most bizarre election strategies we’ve ever seen.
They certainly do not like “America,” though – on that, Sanders is right on the money.
