Senators Criticize Garland – They DEMAND Answers!
(RestoreAmericanGlory.com) – The top lawmakers on the Senate Intelligence Committee, Mark Warner (D-Virginia) and Marco Rubio (R-Fla.), have raised concerns about Congress’s lack of access to information regarding classified documents that were found in the possession of the president, former president, and former vice president, which is not available to the press.
Rubio added that every single day they learn something more about the nature of the classified documents through a press report or a media report. He added that it currently appears as if the congressional oversight committees are the only ones who are not allowed to gain access to information regarding the classified material.
Warner and Rubio have been pushing federal officials to arrange a briefing that would provide them with more insight and information about the classified documents that had been found in the homes of President Biden, former President Trump, and former Vice President Mike Pence. However, while the authorities have claimed they would cooperate as much as they could, so far they have maintained that due to the ongoing investigations, they were not able to provide access to any more information regarding the documents.
However, Warner and Rubio have pointed out that lawmakers learning about the nature of the classified material should not have any effect on the investigations. Warner also added that currently they have not even been given a timeframe in which they would potentially be able to gain access to more information regarding the classified material, some of which as he pointed out have been in the possession of the Department of Justice for around six months.
