Social Security HOAX? – Look Who’s Behind It!

(RestoreAmericanGlory.com) – During the State of the Union address, President Biden spoke about the work of some Republicans in trying to cut Social Security and Medicare. The Republican party was outraged by Biden’s statements during the speech and even shouted that it was not true during the address. Republican leaders have also called on Biden to stop claiming that they wanted to cut or sunset those retirement programs.

However, during Biden’s recent visit to Florida, he once again made similar statements, escalating the situation even further. Medicare and Social Security are expected to be major issues both on Capitol Hill and during the 2024 presidential election.

House Majority Leader Steve Scalise, R-La., told NBC News right after the State of the Union address that the President has over the past few weeks been falsely claiming that there were people in the Republican party who wanted to “get rid of Social Security and Medicare.” However, he added that this is inaccurate information and he was hoping that the President would stop promoting this type of “falsehood” throughout the country.

Scalise even went as far as to claim that they wanted “to strengthen Social Security.”

President Biden on the other hand during his University of Tampa speech on Thursday once again targeted Sen. Rick Scott’s, R-Fla., plan which called for all federal legislation, including Social Security and Medicare, to sunset every five years. He also spoke about how Sen. Ron Johnson, R-Wis., had previously dubbed Social Security a “Ponzi scheme.”

However, House Speaker Kevin McCarthy, R-Calif., has also criticized Biden for his comments as he has previously repeatedly claimed that Medicare and Social Security should not be subjected to spending cuts.
