Special Counsel? 3 Times Obama Should Have Been Impeached
With the Justice Department breaking under the wave of pressure coming from the Democrat/Mainstream Media alliance, a special counsel – former FBI Director Robert Mueller – has been appointed to investigate collusion between Donald Trump and the Russian government. Despite there being – by the deputy attorney general’s own admission – not a single shred of evidence that Trump committed a crime, the American people will now be forced to endure an interminable smear campaign against the rightfully elected president of the United States.
The Democrats, certain that they will be able to block Trump’s agenda and ride a river of phony allegations to victory in 2018 and 2020, were no doubt bouncing in the halls of the Capitol this weekend. And the GOP establishment, hoping for a more “manageable” president in Mike Pence, is probably not too unhappy about it either.
But the voters who believed that Trump was their last chance to resurrect the beautiful country they grew up in should start asking some serious questions. And those questions can start with: If Trump’s supposed “collusion” with the Russians deserves a special counsel, where was this kind of outrage when Barack Obama occupied the White House? Because there were (at least) three separate occasions in which an independent investigation – if not complete impeachment – would have been justified.
The Hillary Clinton Investigation
You think Donald Trump interfered with the FBI’s investigation into the phony Russian scandal? How about we take a look back at Obama’s interference in the Hillary Clinton investigation? That was no made-up story. We got it straight from the horse’s mouth, and the first public details came from the Democrat-loving New York Times. On multiple occasions, Obama said in interviews that Clinton did nothing illegal, even though he maintained that he had no special insight into the evidence beyond what he read in the papers. And, like everyone expected, his Justice Department found their way clear to “letting her go.” She was, after all, “a good person.”
When James Comey came out on television and laid out an airtight case against Hillary before declaring that she would not face prosecution, that should have been it. The Republicans should have demanded a special counsel to investigate both Hillary and Obama – and the FBI. And the Justice Department. In fact, it’s not too late to demand that these investigations be done.
The Iranian Nuclear Agreement
President Obama and the U.S. were not the only signatories to the deal that allowed Iran to wait a decade before building the ultimate bomb, but they were the ones who went out of their way to cover up the true nature of the deal. And we should remember: This wasn’t about hacking into some emails; this was about a disastrous agreement that could very well end in a mushroom cloud.
Not only did Obama refuse to collaborate with Congress on the deal, he deliberately hid several important aspects of the agreement from both lawmakers and the public. We later learned there were “side deals” that Congress was never notified about until it was too late. These side deals allegedly put IRAN in charge of determining which sites inspectors would have access to, thus undermining the entire purpose of the agreement. And that’s not even to mention what we learned this year about the men Obama let out of prison – terrorists and Iranian spies who represent a clear and present threat to national security.
The IRS Tea Party Scandal
This one isn’t that complicated, and yet we’ve STILL yet to see any real punishments come about. In 2010, the IRS subjected dozens of Tea Party groups to special scrutiny when they applied for non-profit status. This is a fact, and the evidence is clear. The IRS blamed the “errors” on low-level staffers, and the American people were asked to believe that a bunch of rogue accountants took it upon themselves to endanger their own jobs just to stick it to conservatives. Obama once again escaped scrutiny, even though he had much to gain from vilifying and blocking these groups from gaining strength.
And that’s only the tip of the iceberg when it comes to Obama’s high crimes. Yet now we have his defenders waxing poetic about his “scandal-free” eight year tenure as president – the same people who think Trump should be hanged from the nearest lamppost for inviting the Russian foreign minister into the Oval Office.
This special counsel investigation is a joke, a fraud, and a blight on the United States. It’s nothing less than a slap in the face to everyone who voted for Donald Trump. We can only pray that the truth comes out before these cretins can completely destroy Trump’s presidency.
