Trump SLAMS Wisconsin GOP Loser Over Endorsement Blunder
(RestoreAmericanGlory.com) – Former President Trump criticized Daniel Kelly, the losing Republican candidate in the Wisconsin state Supreme Court, claiming that he was a “foolish man” for not trying to get an endorsement by the former President.
In a post on Wednesday on Truth Social, Trump pointed out that Kelly had previously bragged about not seeking Trump’s endorsement. To this end, Trump claimed that he did not provide his endorsement, “which guaranteed his loss.” He further questioned how “foolish” one needs to be in order to not try and get an endorsement that could help guarantee their victory.
On Tuesday, Kelly, a former state Supreme Court justice, lost the race against liberal candidate Janet Protasiewicz in Wisconsin. The results of this election meant that for the first time in 15 years, Wisconsin is going to have a state Supreme Court with a liberal majority.
Many Democrats across the state have celebrated these results, as the state’s courts have been particularly important for providing protection for abortion access now that federal protection has been overturned.
During the election race, Kelly claimed that he was not looking for Trump’s endorsement during an interview with NBC News. He specifically noted that he was not seeking any “endorsements from political actors.”
On Tuesday, Protasiewicz won against Kelly with 55 percent of the vote and a total of 200,000 votes more than Kelly. Trump has suggested that with his endorsement, Kelly would have won.
