Trump Threatens Republican Party
(RestoreAmericanGlory.com) – Former President Trump has called on Republicans to avoid cutting any of the funds that are given to Medicare or Social Security and instead focus their attention on spending cuts related to other government programs. The GOP is currently negotiating with the Democrats the options for raising the debt ceiling.
During a video posted on Truth Social, Trump’s social media platform, Trump noted that there is no circumstance under which the Republicans should seek to reduce spending in those programs. He added that if they did so in order to allow “Biden’s reckless spending spree” then their decision would be one of the most reckless decisions in U.S. History.
Donald Trump, who is currently running for the White House in 2024, urged Republicans to push for funding cuts in order areas, including limiting the funding given to corrupt foreign governments in aid, the climate crisis, gender programs within the military, and other such programs.
While Trump has been critical of Biden’s spending, it was during the Trump administration that the national debt grew by $7 trillion.
He lambasted Biden’s spending agenda, though the national debt increased by roughly $7 trillion during the Trump administration.
Trump has been an adamant supporter of Social Security and Medicare since he first campaigned for the White House in 2016. This is a message he echoed in his latest video by saying that while the country needed to cut down on spending, it should not be American families and seniors who are forced to pay the price.
