Trump’s 2024 Campaign Hit With Major Issue!
(RestoreAmericanGlory.com) – A poll from The Associated Press and the University of Chicago’s NORC research center showed that 70 percent of Americans, including 44 percent of Republicans, do not want to see former President Trump running again in the 2024 presidential election.
According to the poll, 93 percent of Democrats and 63 percent of independents have stated that they don’t want to see Trump run again. Those with college degrees also appeared to be more likely to say that they did not want to see Trump run than those without college degrees. Still, in both demographic groups, the majority (80 percent and 65 percent, respectively) stated that they did not want to see Trump run.
The results come after several other polls have shown that Trump has been expanding his lead in a hypothetical GOP primary against potential rival Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis (R). DeSantis has not yet announced what his plans for 2024 are or whether he is going to be joining the GOP primary race.
While many Americans do not want Trump to run, he currently has the highest net favorability rating among all the potential GOP candidates, according to the AP-NORC poll. Most specifically, 34 percent of respondents had a favorable view of Trump, including 69 percent of Republicans and 4 percent of Democrats.
President Biden, on the other hand, is viewed favorably by 81 percent of Democrats and 12 percent of Republicans.
The poll was conducted from April 13 to 17 among 1,230 adults, and the margin of error was 3.9 percent.
