Trump’s Biggest Edge in 2020 Could Come From Bernie Supporters

Oh, they are MAD.

The establishment moved with intense, surgical precision the weekend before Super Tuesday. First, South Carolina congressman Jim Clyburn endorsed Joe Biden, setting the former vice president up for an enormous win on Saturday with the state’s African-American voters. Then, like clockwork, Amy Klobuchar and Pete Buttigieg dropped out of the race, endorsed Biden, and allowed him to consolidate the “moderate” vote heading into the big day. Sanders tanked badly, letting Biden run away with the night and, barring a miracle, the nomination itself.

And yeah, they’re mad.

We’re talking about the Bernie Bros, of course, who feel as if, once again, the Democratic nomination has been stolen from their hero and savior. And now they are vowing revenge.

As the presidential campaign of Sen. Bernie Sanders continues to crash and burn, the socialist’s most hard-core supporters are vowing they will never vote for Joe Biden at the ballot box — even if that means handing Trump a second term.

“We will never – NEVER boost or support Joe Biden or defend his abysmal record and terrible policy positions,” Henry Williams, executive director of The Gravel Institute, told The Post. “We will tell people, as we always have, to vote their conscience and to make decisions based on the interests of all the world’s oppressed people … I do expect a massive exodus from the Democratic Party.”

Williams, along with David Oks and Henry Magowan, are the driving forces behind the brief presidential campaign of Mike Gravel, an 89-year-old former Alaska senator who left the race in August. The trio then became enthusiastic Bernie Bros.

“I don’t know if I could vote for Biden,” said a high-profile local Democratic Socialist. “Biden is just an old white guy who inspires nobody. I sincerely think he will lose the electoral and popular vote and I know I won’t be voting for him in New York.”

Other than MAGA itself, we’ve never encouraged a political movement with as much enthusiasm. Stay home, Bernie Bros! Better yet, come on over and vote for Donald Trump. Hey, you may not agree with his policies, but how are you ever going to get the revolutionary change you want if you keep supporting establishment hacks like Biden? Why would the Democratic Party EVER listen to you if you prove you’re willing to fall in line even if they don’t give you so much as a bone to chew on? At least Trump knows that we’ve got to get a grip on these free trade agreements and pull some manufacturing jobs back home.

According to an analysis of the 2016 election, 12% of Sanders supporters voted for Trump in the general election. If we see a repeat of that in 2020, Joe Biden’s campaign is a waste of time and money.
