Alvin Bragg Gets DEVASTATING News From Judge!
(RestoreAmericanGlory.com) – On Wednesday, a federal judge ruled that Mark Pomerantz, who was previously involved in the Manhattan district attorney’s criminal probe looking into former President Trump, is obliged to abide by the subpoena of the House Judiciary Committee.
U.S. District Judge Mary Kay Vyskocil’s 25-page order rejects the request made by Manhattan District Attorney Alvin Bragg (D), who pushed for House Republicans not to be allowed to question Pomerantz. Pomerantz resigned from Bragg’s office last year, allegedly following a disagreement about how Trump’s case should be handled.
In his order, Vyskocil, a Trump appointee, pointed out that the “subpoena was issued with a ‘valid legislative purpose” connected to the “congressional power to ‘conduct investigations.'” He proceeded to point out that the federal judiciary was not in control of what legislation Congress had the right to deliberate and consider.
House Judiciary Chair Jim Jordan (R-Ohio) has been probing Bragg’s probe of Trump. As part of the investigation, the subpoena was sent to Pomerantz, and another employee was asked to hand over their personal emails detailing his hiring process.
In his ruling, Vyskocil also pointed out that the two sides had reached a “mutually agreeable compromise” on how Pomeratz’s deposition should be handled. Pomerantz is set to appear for his deposition on Thursday at 10 a.m.
Following the ruling, Bragg’s office filed a notice of appeal, requesting that the 2nd U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals provide emergency relief.
