Awash as we are in stories of polls, tweets, scandals, remarks, and the rest of the election drama, it can be easy to forget that all of this ultimately comes down to a single choice. A personal choice made on one day, in a single instant. A personal choice that could have enormous consequences on the years ahead.
When you make that choice, you won’t do it based on anything other than your own values, beliefs, emotions, and logic. The first three come from within you. The last thing – logic – will be based on the information you have. In case there are gaps in that information, here are five things to remember when making your decision. Five powerful reasons that Hillary Clinton should not be president.
Hillary Clinton Promises Amnesty
Your thoughts and feelings about illegal immigration alone can clarify the choice. If you believe that illegal immigration makes this country better – that it should be encouraged, forgiven, and subsidized – Hillary Clinton is your girl. She has promised to push an amnesty bill to Capitol Hill within her first 100 days. If you believe that our country’s continued survival depends on a secure border, however, a Clinton vote becomes impossible.
Hillary Clinton is Susceptible to Blackmail
We do not know which countries or independent hackers gained access to Hillary’s private server. Perhaps none. But if anyone did gain access, they may now hold secrets with which they can control her like a puppet on a string. The former secretary of state has escaped justice for her negligence, but the true ramifications of that negligence may only come clear after she’s elected. That’s a hell of a chance to take.
Hillary Clinton Wants to Punish Gun Makers…for Making Guns
Hillary has promised that she doesn’t want to eradicate the Second Amendment; she just wants to “regulate” it. One aspect of that regulation involves making gun manufacturers legally liable for any harm that may come from the use of their products. According to her, gun manufacturers are uniquely exempt from this liability, but that’s not the case. Ford is not responsible if a lunatic intentionally kills someone with one of their trucks. The same can be said of virtually every other product in America. If Hillary were to get her way, gun manufacturers would be the only companies in such a precarious legal position. The Second Amendment might remain unchanged, but the right to bear arms means little if no one is around to actually make the arms.
Hillary Clinton is Corrupt to Her Core
The story of Hillary’s political life is one of unrestrained ambition. Ambition is a good thing, but the Clintons are guilty of a species of ambition that can only be called greed. Greed for money, greed for fame. Most of all: greed for power. In the mind of such a person, there’s no such thing as “enough.” Not even the presidency is enough. For all of Donald Trump’s external celebrations of wealth, he doesn’t even come close to matching Hillary’s hunger for glory.
Hillary Clinton’s Influence will Outlive All of Us
Conventional wisdom says that our next president will replace somewhere between 1 and 3 Supreme Court justices, changing the ideological makeup of the judicial branch for the next 25 years. That’s enough time for our country to come completely detached from the constitutional principles that have kept us intact for the last 200. Any conservative who says we should simply try again in 2020 is making a monumental mistake.
Don’t do the same.
