Liberals Throw a Tantrum Over “Trump Wall” Halloween Costume

We’re still months away from Halloween, but the PC Police are already scoping out the lay of the land and firing up their blogs to make sure that everyone knows how upset they are about the offensive costumes being sold. Right now, Amazon is in the line of fire for selling a “Trump Wall” costume that says “Mexico Will Pay” on the front.

A Hispanic activist group named Mijente has started a petition to get Amazon to remove the costume, writing, “The ‘costume’ advertised on Amazon’s website promotes this despicable xenophobia and is nothing more than a modernized version of a Ku Klux Klan robe. We demand Amazon immediately remove it and all other racist merchandise from the site.

“The Latinx community will not sit idly by as companies like Amazon help to further normalize white supremacy,” they continued. “Attacks on our culture and our families will not be tolerated.”

On the site, customer reviews for the costume have been mixed. One wrote, “I’m very disappointed that this costume is sponsored by Amazon. I’m a Prime member for years and I feel like this is very offensive to the Mexican/Hispanic community.”

But another person, irritated by the political correctness, said he would be buying the costume out of spite.

“Ordering this right after I submit this review,” he wrote. “I figure if those crybabies can leave a one-star review for a product that they haven’t purchased then I can leave a review for something that I didn’t have any interest in purchasing before this manufactured outrage hit ‘petition’ status with Amazon.”

When did everyone get so uptight about everything? What about this costume stands for white supremacy? How is it racist? How is it offensive to anyone other than illegal immigrants? Hell, even some of them would probably prefer to see the wall built. It’s not helping their predicament to have thousands of Mexicans flooding across the border every year, after all.

But this is the door that’s been opened. It’s the Pandora’s box of oppressions, and now everyone gets to feel victimized except white, straight, conservative men. They are the one great enemy, and anything that says that any of America’s problems come from any other race, creed or gender is not to be tolerated.

But that’s only one side of it. The other side – the more sinister side – is an ongoing effort on the left to banish ideas they don’t agree with. It’s not enough for them to say, “You’re wrong.” They have to go the extra mile and say, “You’re not only wrong, you are evil.” And whether they really believe that or not at the top of the liberal food chain, it has been an extremely potent weapon for their various movements.

Until, of course, the country exploded in one giant backlash against all of it, circa November 2016.

Apparently, though, it’s going to be a while before the full message sinks in.
