Pelosi Says Biden Has Authority to Force Schools to Recognize “Trans Rights”

At a press conference on Friday, House Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-CA) confirmed that she will stand behind Joe Biden’s plan to use existing federal regulations to force schools into giving transgender students access to facilities meant for the other sex.

“Joe Biden says that on his first day in office he will use Title IX to give transgender students access to sports, bathrooms, and locks rooms in accordance with their gender identity in all federally funded schools,” said a reporter. “Does he have the power to unilaterally do this? And do you agree with this?”

Pelosi did not hesitate: “Yes, and I think he does.”

Biden hasn’t gone as far as, say, his former rival Elizabeth Warren in pandering to .5% of the U.S. population (who can forget Warren saying that she would run her selection of Education Secretary by a seven-year-old transgender child?!), but his website makes it clear that he is planning some radical overhauls.

“On his first day in office, Biden will reinstate the Obama-Biden guidance revoked by the Trump-Pence Administration, which will restore transgender students’ access to sports, bathrooms, and locker rooms in accordance with their gender identity,” the Biden-Harris campaign website promises.

That guidance, which went out to schools in 2016 before quickly being thrown off the books by Education Secretary Betsy DeVos, says: “As a condition of receiving Federal funds, a school agrees that it will not exclude, separate, deny benefits to, or otherwise treat differently on the basis of sex any person in its educational programs or activities unless expressly authorized to do so under Title IX or its implementing regulations. The Departments treat a student’s gender identity as the student’s sex for purposes of Title IX and its implementing regulations. This means that a school must not treat a transgender student differently from the way it treats other students of the same gender identity.”

It remains baffling to us that feminists aren’t up in arms about this nonsense. The left is taking legislation that was specifically written to give females a fairer go of it and they’re now applying it to boys who run around in skirts. And the only answer they have are slogans: “Trans women ARE women.”

Well, you can say that until you’re blue in the face, but it will never change the facts. Sex is immutable, sex and gender are synonyms, and that’s the end of the story. You can dress however you want, call yourself whatever you want, and demand that people use your pronouns. You can even mutilate yourself and take hormones. None of it will change your biology. Nothing will turn a man into a woman or a woman into a man.

Our laws and regulations should reflect that simple fact.
