Twitter CEO Forgets That a Certain Restaurant is Off-Limits for the Truly Woke
Twitter CEO Jack Dorsey has made little effort to hide his allegiance to the #Resistance and to the greater goals of the American Left, but he found out this weekend that it can be a real bear trying to keep up with all of the complex codes and rules one must follow in order to stay in the good graces of an ever-shifting field of political correctness. Dorsey made the colossal blunder of using Chic-fil-A’s mobile app to save himself a few bucks on a chicken sandwich and then posting about his purchase on Sunday. He published a screen shot of his savings and another of his fast-food bag…and lo, the agents of liberal doom descended upon him for his unthinkable sins.
“This is an interesting company to boost during Pride month, Jack,” tweeted former CNN anchor Soledad O’Brien.
Ah yes, Chic-fil-A, whose CEO Dan Cathy has defended his religious belief that marriage should consist of one woman and one man (aka, the way it’s been since, oh, the beginning of human civilization), remains a symbol of evil for the LGBT community and its many media allies.
In an era where you can be fired from your job at CrossFit for merely expressing the idea that gay “pride” is a sin, there is certainly no greater tolerance today for religious objections to the gay agenda than there was in 2012. Quite the contrary; today’s PC Police demand total fealty to the LGBT way of life and if you don’t submit…well, just ask Dorsey. Who, by the way, was almost certainly thinking about delicious chicken when he made his purchase and not about the consumer options preferred by the modern homosexual.
But in this climate, even forgetfulness is tantamount to betrayal.
“On behalf of the whole LGBTQ community, Jack, kindly boost your head out of your ass,” said another Twitter twit.
“Please delete this or follow up with how much free advertising you’re going to give GLAAD,” wrote another dim-bulb user.
While we would have taken great pleasure in watching Dorsey respond to these critics with a simple picture of his middle finger, we were not surprised when, only hours after his original post, he apologized for his thoughtless actions.
“You’re right,” he tweeted to O’Brien. “Completely forgot about their background.”
Yeah, that terrible, awful background in which the restaurant’s CEO has traditional Christian beliefs about a topic that was completely uncontroversial only, say fifteen years ago. That terrible background where, in spite of their owner’s beliefs, Chic-fil-A has done everything possible to make it clear that they both serve and employ people from across the rainbow spectrum. God, what were you THINKING supporting such a demonic organization, Jack?
To be honest, it doesn’t bother us too much though. Every time one of these celebri-libs gets “policed” by the left-wing community, it sends a subtle message to the rest of America. A message that says: These people be crazy.
