(RestoreAmericanGlory.com) – House Speaker Kevin McCarthy, R-Ca., in a recent interview on “Sunday Morning Futures” discussed the Republicans’ plans regarding the classified documents found in President Joe Biden’s possession.
According to the reports, the first batch of classified documents was found in Biden’s private office at the Penn Biden Center on Nov. 2. Following that discovery, two more batches of classified documents were found in Biden’s Delaware home.
McCarthy has said that this discovery as well as the Justice Department’s special counsel investigation are evidence of why the American public is unable to trust the administration. He added that Congress is obliged to oversee the Justice Department in everything they do, including the investigations overseen by special counsels. This is why McCarthy’s primary concern in all of this is ensuring that justice is equally applied in all cases.
Attorney General Merrick Garland appointed Robert Hur as Special Counsel on Thursday. This was after receiving a lot of pressure from Republicans who pointed to the differences in the treatment of Trump’s case and Biden’s case.
The Republican party has also been critical of the fact that despite the first batch of classified documents being found before the midterm elections, the information was not released until January. This is very different from the way Trump’s case was handled after the FBI raided his Mar-a-Lago home and seized hundreds of classified documents.
McCarthy has added that he plans to continue probing into this case. He further hopes that the American public will realize that the GOP will work until all the truth is out.
