Mike Pence BOMBSHELL – Trump Lays It Out!
(RestoreAmericanGlory.com) – On Monday, during the plane ride to his campaign event in Iowa Former President Trump told reporters that in part former Vice President Mike Pence was responsible for Jan. 6, 2021, Capitol attack and the violence that ensued that day. This statement came only two days after Pence had asserted that Trump would be held accountable by history for the events of Jan. 6.
According to The Washington Post report, Trump stated that if Pence had “sent the votes back to the legislatures” then there would not have been a problem with Jan. 6. He added that if he had sent them back in Pennsylvania, Georgia, and Arizona, that is the states which Trump has claimed without proof had a different election result, then there would have been no violence on that day.
However, Pence has maintained that he did not have the constitutional authority to overturn the presidential election or reject electoral votes, which is what Trump has repeatedly claimed. Pence further added that Trump’s “reckless words endangered my family and everyone at the Capitol that day.”
The courts have rejected Trump’s attempts to overturn or nullify the 2020 presidential election results. In December Congress also passed a clarifying legislation that clearly states that the Vice President does not have the right to overturn the election results.
Trump further claimed that the only reason Pence was making these comments now was that he wanted to join the presidential race and he had “figured that being nice is not working.”
