Stop Pushing “LGBTQ+ Community”, It Doesn’t Exist
LGBTQ+ is a left-wing politic designation of a “community” that does not exist as a cohesive monolithic “community.”
It is very difficult to impose one-party authoritarian rule over a very large and diverse population. So, the big government Big Brother crowd does what all authoritarians do. They homogenize diverse segments of the population into large competing groups. They create enemy populations.
That is why, in the eyes of the left, a Mexican American evolved into a Hispanic – essentially nullifying the unique Mexican culture. Now that same Mexican is reassigned to an even more amorphous class known as “people-of-color” – a class that makes no distinction between people of African, Asian, Native American or even our Mexican friend.
Nope! They are all just one mass of humanity without distinctions in the eyes of the liberal elite and social managers. Of course, it is much easier to control populations that do not have distinct cultures and ethnic bonds. Those with no differences in appearance, food, attire, religion, music, etc.
Remember Hitler? He divided people between the Arian race and the lessor humans, even though there’s no such thing as an Arian race — and his targeted enemies were a diverse population of minority cultures based on race and religion that he simply designated and a race of inferiors.
Blacks were the first to be socially engineered into a meaningless cultural group. No Nigerians. No Ethiopians. No Ugandans. Just a bunch of “colored” folks. And now they are further diluted into that people-of-color category. Ironically, people-of-color includes the poorest groups (blacks and Native Americans) and the richest ethnic group in America (Indians) – richer than whites.
Now we have the same thing happening to communities based on sexual preference. The left uses a collection of letters to coalesce a group of people with – as we say – alternative lifestyles. In reality, it is not just one alternative lifestyle, but several very, very different distinct lifestyles. That is evident by the use of so many letters to define them. It would be like using WBHANA+ instead of people-of-color.
Some members of the alternative lifestyle group – the LGBTQ+ people – have disdain and contempt of the alternative lifestyle of others packaged into the group. Many have very different desires and needs.
Again, the inference is that all those in the LGBTQ+ pseudo-community are of like mind is wrong. That is the left-wing theory. Of course, anyone who has had any interactions with the alternative lifestyle communities knows that it is a bogus theory.
I had some informative experiences. I have had gay employees, gay friends and gay relatives. My company was hired to serve as the management for the Saugatuck Chamber of Commerce. Saugatuck is on of the highest per capita gay communities in America. More so than San Francisco. Virtually every business member of the Chamber was one of those letters in LGBTQ+ group. If you were in the focus on the various negotiations, you would have seen VERY different opinions on both business and politics.
First of all, there are a lot of conservative gay Republicans. Democrats and the left-leaning media totally ignore their existence — much like they ignore the growing number of Black and Latino Republicans. Many gay Republicans are members of the GOP’s Log Cabin clubs.
The gay community is composed of a wide variety of cultures based on sexual activity – and they tend not to be in total agreement on political and social issues. The mistake of attempting to lump all people with alternative lifestyles into a single monolithic group is clearly seen in the issues relating to transgender athletes in women’s sports. It is constantly portrayed as an LBGTQ+ issue when it is only a “T” issue.
Not only does the “T”-in-sports issue NOT have anything to do with the rest of L-B-G-Q-+ people, many of the latter are strongly opposed to transgender’s dominating women’s sports out of a sense of fairness. I asked a few of my gay friends their opinion on the subject and was surprised that not one of them believe it is right for transgender men to compete against women in sports where strength and endurance are a key factors. Yes, it was only half dozen people – not a carefully crafted polling sample – but I think there are legitimate inferences to be drawn. It certainly suggests that gay folks are not as monolithic as the left contends.
If you look at the trend among both minority and alternative lifestyle voters, you will see that the left-wing policy of divide, scare and conquer is not working. At this moment, the shift in allegiance is to the benefit of the GOP. Americans of all types are not easily bamboozled by political narrative and partisan propaganda.
One of the main ingredients in the American culture is a dedication to individual freedom and a sense of fairness – something the political ruling class abhors. They seek obedience and compliance.
And as a footnote, who the hell are the “+” people?
So, there ‘tis.
