Democrat AG Probing Trump – STILL No Arrest!
(RestoreAmericanGlory.com) – Former President Trump could end up facing an array of different charges if indicted in connection to the hush money payment investigation led by Manhattan District Attorney Alvin Bragg (D).
On Saturday, Trump posted on Truth Social that he would be arrested in this case on Tuesday. The investigation relates to the $130,000 payment made by his fixer Michael Cohen to adult film star Stormy Daniels before the 2016 presidential election in exchange for her silence. Daniels prior to the payment was planning on sharing a story regarding her sexual affair with Trump, Trump himself has repeatedly denied the affair took place.
While hush money payments are not illegal by default, the way in which Trump and Cohen went about making and concealing the payment has already resulted in Cohen being charged previously and being required to serve time in prison. This could also potentially mean trouble for Trump.
Cohen, at the time, had used a home equity line of credit in order to make the payment to Daniels before the 2016 presidential election. Trump then paid Cohen in monthly installments that were invoiced as “legal services” and were not included in the campaign expenses disclosed. The arrangement led to federal prosecutors investigating Cohen who pleaded guilty to charges relating to campaign finance violations for which he served jail time.
Bragg picked the case after the Justice Department chose not to prosecute Trump for the violation while he served in office. Bragg’s prosecution would entirely use state statutes.
