Democrats Target Supreme Court Justice

(RestoreAmericanGlory.com) – Lawyers Tristan Snell and Laurence Tribe took to Twitter over the weekend to call for a subpoena to be issued against Supreme Court Justice Clarence Thomas so that he can testify in hearing cases relating to the Capitol riot. Snell wrote on Friday that both Ginni Thomas and Clarence Thomas needed to testify before the grand jury hearing evidence about the January 6 coup. He added that “at best, they are material fact, witnesses. At worst, they are co-conspirators to be charged with seditious conspiracy.”

Tribe agreed with this tweet on Saturday he tweeted out that the two are “lead material fact witnesses.” He added that if Justice Thomas was to not follow a subpoena and defied it on the grounds of separation of powers grounds, then it would be fair to ask Thomas whether “he’d recuse from DOJ’s appeal to SCOTUS from a lower federal court ruling upholding Thomas’s conviction for contempt of court.”

Clarence Thomas has had numerous people calling for his resignation and asking that he be impeached over the alleged involvement of his wife in the attempts to overturn the 2020 presidential election. At the same time, the Supreme Court justice has at times been asked to recuse himself from any cases that relate to the riot.

The recusal requests were made after it was revealed that conservative activist Virginia “Ginni” Thomas had sent out a text to Mark Meadows, former President Donald Trump’s chief of staff, expressing her support for overturning the elections. The texts also made it clear that Ginni Thomas believed in the widespread voter fraud conspiracy theory.

In September, in a statement sent out at the beginning of Ginni’s interview with the House select committee that was in charge of investigating the Jan. 6, 2021, Capitol riot. Ginni Thomas in the statement said that her activities were “minimal and mainstream” and that she had not been in communication with her husband regarding her post-election activities.

She added that she had never spoken to her husband regarding any of the potential legal challenges to the 2020 election. She also added that it is laughable to think that people believe her husband’s judgment could so easily be influenced.
