Kamala Harris Attacks Mainstream Media

(RestoreAmericanGlory.com) – Following the end of her second year in office, Vice President Kamala Harris is arguing that the press is not portraying her fairly. She told liberal Washington Post columnist Jonathan Capehart earlier this week that she had taken many actions that exhibited her leadership capabilities in her position, but that those had never been covered as extensively as the “[the] Dobbs [decision] did.”

The Vice President in February was criticized for appearing “perpetually unprepared” after a messy speech in Munich that was essentially a “word salad.” However, Capehart argued that Harris’ Munich speech was one of her top accomplishments for 2022. He then proceeded to say that the VP had an “excellent” year.

Harris also noted that the trip did not get the proper press coverage.

The columnist also affirmed this and said that he had known Harris for a decade and that her media coverage was not usually fair. As he wrote, “Harris is right about that. Despite having a television and a print pool reporter at most of her public events, the vice president garners little attention.”

He continued to write that during her first-year things had been particularly tough due to the constant stories about her staff departures which were used to question Harris’ ability and competence.

The columnist is one of the few journalists to secure a one-on-one interview with President Biden this year.
Capehart further suggested that Harris’ coverage had also been negatively affected by her ethnicity and gender.
